MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – The honoring ceremony for the heroes of the 22nd Winter Olympics in Sochi will be held at the Palace of Independence on 25 February. Partaking in the event will be President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.

The President is expected to present state awards to the Olympic champions and medalists, their coaches and other specialists.

Apart from Olympic medalists and their relatives, about 200 people are expected to attend the event. Among them will be members of the Belarusian Olympic national team, veteran athletes and young promising sportsmen, Olympic champions and medalists, world champions, artistic intelligentsia, media and heads of government bodies.

The TV version will be broadcast by Belarus 1 Channel.
