Over 484,000 tickets sold for 2014 IIHF World Championship in Minsk

MINSK, 19 March (BelTA) – A total of 484,500 out of 685,000 tickets for the 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Minsk have been sold so far, head of the Directorate for the Ice Hockey World Championship Yevgeny Vorsin said at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers on 18 March, BelTA has learnt.

One of the issues which topped the agenda of the meeting was the country’s readiness for this world sport forum.

According to Yevgeny Vorsin, some 66,500 out of 484,500 tickets sold have been purchased by foreigners. The revenue from the tickets sales made up Br92 billion.

According to TsentrKurort, the official tour operator of the championship, the Fan Package is the most popular offering. Apart from it, family, corporate and VIP packages are available. Rooting for Our Team package has been developed for Belarusians.
