EEC Council to meet on 15 February

 The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) featuring deputy prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is set to hold its meeting on 15 February, the EEC press service told BelTA.

More than 20 issues are on the agenda of the meeting. In particular, plans are in place to discuss the draft agreement on the development of EAEU common markets of oil and oil products, including common rules of access to services for transportation of oil and (or) oil products through systems located in the member states; to determine the organization, which carries out centralized trade in electricity for the day ahead in the common electricity market of the union.

Measures will be considered to develop cooperation between EAEU countries in the implementation of e-vehicle projects, a draft agreement on mutual recognition of bank guarantees for state (municipal) procurement.

Participants of the meeting are expected to consider amendments to the protocol on the exchange of information in electronic form between the tax authorities of the EAEU states on the amounts of indirect taxes paid, the rules of bioequivalence studies of drugs within the EAEU, and also previous decisions of the EEC Council regarding engines, spare parts and equipment for maintenance or repair of civil aviation aircraft.

A number of decisions are planned to be made in customs, tariff and technical regulation. The EEC Council will amend its previous decision on certain issues related to goods for personal use, as well as the procedure for functioning of electronic vehicle passports (electronic vehicle chassis passports) and electronic passports for self-propelled machines and other types of equipment.

The agenda of the meeting will also include organization of certain events within Russia's presidency in the EAEU bodies in 2023 and some other issues.

Belarus is represented in the EEC Council by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko.
