Lukashenko extends condolences over wildfire victims in Kazakhstan

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has expressed condolences to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan over the victims of the wildfires in the east of the country, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“It is with pain and sorrow that Belarus has learned the sad news about major forest fires in the eastern regions of Kazakhstan that resulted in the death of the forestry workers who took part in extinguishing efforts. In these hard moments we share with you the sorrow of irretrievable losses and express our sincere words of condolence and support for the families and loved ones of the victims,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.

The head of state expressed hope for the speedy suppression of forest fires and the restoration of normal life in the affected areas.
