Lukashenko instructs to prepare presidential meeting on regulation of mediation

11.04.2024

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed to prepare a meeting on regulation of mediation as he summed up the results of the meeting on the country’s manufacturing outlook, BelTA has learned.

"We need to schedule a meeting and hear the government’s report on the progress in the elimination of intermediaries. I have already opined on this matter repeatedly and I urge to make decisions together with the governors. The situation is a disaster," Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The president said that the other day he talked with one of the farmers, and it turned out that he buys chemicals, seeds and other things in Russia. In Belarus, according to him, all this is available but is more expensive because of intermediaries.

"Intermediaries are many, more than needed. We once reached an agreement. In some things, it is impossible to do without intermediaries. The minister shall make a decision and bear responsibility. Or devise a transparent system so that we can see what is happening there. But intermediaries must be removed. You need to do it. This is a big piece of work," the head of state said.
