Belarus’ Committee for Science and Technology names areas of development in Year of Quality
Deputy Chairwoman of the State Committee for Science and Technology Tatiana Stolyarova spoke about the areas of development of the State Committee for Science and Technology in the Year of Quality in a new episode of BelTA’s The Nation Speaks project.
The decree on declaring 2024 the Year of Quality is aimed primarily at continuing to improve and enhance the quality of life of the Belarusian society, to increase the competitiveness of products. The State Committee for Science and Technology and subordinate organizations, as before, will be actively involved in this work, said Tatiana Stolyarova. “I cannot say that we are going to discover some new areas of work, but we will be improving what we already have,” the deputy chairwoman said.
The national plan on implementing the Year of Quality has a whole section on introducing innovations into the economy and increasing rationalization ideas. “This is what we will focus on. We will be considering the possibility of developing local acts to increase inventive activity, we will focus on creating favorable conditions for the development of innovation infrastructure,” Tatiana Stolyarova said.
