Demand for electricity growing - Belarus sets consumption record in 2023
The demand for nuclear energy is growing, Belarus used more than 41 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity last year, reported the specialized Ministry. According to the IAEA, by 2050 the capacity of nuclear power plants in the world will more than double and reach 890 gigawatts. Thanks to the work of BelNPP, Belarus is actively electrifying the housing stock. In particular, modern electric houses are being built, and private housing is being converted to the use of electricity for heating and water heating.
