Repair crews working across Belarus to fix power grid after violent weather

Work to fix power supply continues in areas of Belarus that have been affected by a recent bout of violent weather, representatives of the national energy company Belenergo told BelTA.

According to the source, rough winds caused multiple trees to fall. Some of them broke power transmission line poles and overhead wires. Most of the power outages occurred in Vitebsk Oblast. Crews from Minsk Oblast, Grodno Oblast, and Mogilev Oblast have been sent to help fix the power grid over there.

Electricians are working hard to clean up consequences of the violent weather. Poles and broken wires are being replaced. The power grid repair operations will continue until consequences of the rough weather are neutralized.
