Expert tells what new opportunities EAEU has to offer
The Eurasian Economic Union creates great opportunities for the development of mutual trade, as well as the expansion of markets. So believes the Director of the Institute of socio-economic research of the Financial University under the Government of Russia Alexei Zubets. According to him, this organization has great prospects for the future.
"The EAEU has a great future because this space opens up opportunities for deeper industrial cooperation and building more advanced production chains to develop economic cooperation and overcome Western pressure. If we talk about the future of the EAEU, from my point of view, it should play an even greater role than today for the establishment of economic life. And then we should realize that 2-3 years ago some problem of the EAEU was that the main economic partners of the Union countries were not only from Russia, but also from other states that were outside the post-Soviet space. Both Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and other countries traded much more with Europe than among themselves."
"Today, the situation is changing precisely due to the reorientation of trade and economic contacts of external players to internal ones," the expert emphasized. - Therefore, the fact that such a tool is available is, of course, a huge trump card. It is a great opportunity to make economic cooperation deeper, so that the economic development of the EAEU countries would receive additional support."
