Lukashenko: Justice is in the core of Belarusian policy

Justice is in the core of the Belarusian policy, and there cannot be otherwise, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the government meeting on pricing on 10 February, BelTA has learned.

Addressing the participants of the event, the president stressed: “I warn you: there can be no derogation from it. Justice is the essence of the country's policy.”

The president added that in the current difficult situation in the world and around Belarus, one could try to attribute some shortcomings to sanctions, external pressure and so on. “Indeed, it is one of the reasons for what is happening inside the country. But there is no reason to pile everything and say that we have nothing to do with it. It turns out we have something to do with it. The past four months has proved this. When we took control, prices went down by nearly 3% on average,” the Belarusian leader said.

The president once again stressed that both pricing and salaries should be based on a fair approach.
