Lukashenko: Minsk seeks closer ties with Jakarta
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Prabowo Subianto on a confident victory at the presidential election in Indonesia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“The result clearly demonstrates the Indonesian citizens' firm support for the course aimed at the gradual development of the state and improvement of the people's wellbeing,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state noted that Minsk attaches great importance to deepening ties with Jakarta: “An atmosphere of friendship and trust has been established over more than thirty years of diplomatic relations between our countries. I am convinced that with your personal participation our cooperation will continue to expand in various areas, including politics, trade, economy, science, technology, humanitarian affairs and many more.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko invited Prabowo Subianto to pay an official visit to Belarus at any convenient time, and wished him good health and every success in his responsible mission.
