Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is known for defending his country and his people, President of Republika Srpska, an entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik told the RTR-Belarus TV channel, BelTA has learned.
Milorad Dodik emphasized that the president's duty is to prioritize the interests of his people over personal comfort. Therefore, Western pressure and sanctions cannot make much difference. “I care about the opinion of people whom I see every day, who are grateful for the policy that I pursue. And not the opinion of some bureaucrats from Brussels and faraway America, who are out of touch with reality, who live in a different universe and threaten the existence of Republika Srpska. And we see a similar situation here. Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is famous for fighting for his country and his people,” he said.
According to him, the entire community of Eastern Orthodox Christians are increasingly criticized by the collective West. “The European Union today is falling under the sway of the United States, it follows exclusively the commands of the West, there is no sovereign will of the EU countries. It is about the resources of the East. The West must turn its eyes to the East in order to survive, given the lack of its own resources. Europe has no oil, gas, nothing except for the US dominance. In the 1990s, Europe was an emerging power, while now its development process is going in the opposite direction. They have no outstanding leaders,” Milorad Dodik said.
